The original plan was to race a bus shipped using UPS 3 Day Select and it was clear when tracking the package that it would easily beat us and indeed delivery was made on the morning of Thursday 9th December. However, I had been unable to track down the package and the leasing office had no record of it. It turns out they had sent it back to UPS as I hadn’t checked in yet and they had no idea who I was. UPS reattempted delivery today and as my name is now on the entryphone system they were successful and I was reunited with my radio controlled Hong Kong Metrobus.
So I am claiming victory on both challenges, albeit on a technicality. It turns out two men cocking about in a car driving cross country is significantly quicker than UPS!
